Let's build a mosque!

(Peace be upon you) Salam alaikum,

My name is Justin, I currently live in North Bay, ON, CA. As a new revert to Islam, I came to realize there aren't many mosques in my community. There is one, however it's usually closed, with the exception of some prayer times.

As somebody who works irregular shifts, I would prefer a place which I could go to, to pray, regardless of the time wether it's 3am or 2pm. I've decided to take the initiative to rent a building which could be converted to a mosque, which would always be opened to the public.

I believe that 25,000$ would be enough to pay for first and last months rent for a building, Qurans, other Islamic texts, carpet and decor and inshallah, all we need to get started.

Allah says in the Quran, Chapter 16 verse 125: "Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation and reason with them in a way that is best. Your Lord knows best those who have strayed away from His path, and He knows best those who are rightly guided." Which deed is greater than to build a place of worship for Allah in a place which lacks it and what better way is there to call to Allah, then to call people to his place of worship.
