“Letra por Letra Setubal” é uma Associação Informal de Cidadãos para implantar uma rede de "Pequenas Bibliotecas Livres” no concelho de Setúbal.
Num ano, a nossa Associação formada apenas por voluntários colocou já quatro dos nossos frigoríficos repintados e reciclados, cheios de livros variados, de diversos géneros, temas e em várias línguas.
As nossas Pequenas Bibliotecas Livres são por nós instaladas em parques e locais públicos de Setúbal. Estão disponíveis 24 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana.O nosso lema é "Traz um livro, Leva um livro".
Temos um protocolo assinado com a Câmara Municipal de Setúbal para colocar mais 12 unidades noutros locais públicos onde serão acessíveis a toda a comunidade. Além do incentivo á leitura e recirculação do livro temos ainda como objectivos a educação para a cidadania e a reciclagem de equipamentos em fim de vida, como são os frigoríficos.
Mas temos custos, incluindo ferramentas, fixações, tintas, transportes, comunicação e outras despesas gerais que precisam de ser resolvidas, uma vez que não temos qualquer financiamento ou subsídio. O teu contributo pode ajudar a garantir a continuidade do projeto a longo prazo e a sua possível expansão.
Os doadores de 120 euros ganham o direito de receber uma placa gravada afixada no frigorífico/biblioteca à sua escolha e do qual ficarão como patrocinadores exclusivos. Mas, por favor, doa a quantia que entenderes, com todos os fundos a serem alocados exclusivamente ao projeto principal da Letra por Letra.

“Letra por Letra Setubal” is an informal association of citizens working to set up a network of “Small Free Libraries” in the municipality of Setúbal.
In one year, our association, made up of only volunteers, has already installed four of our repainted and recycled refrigerators, filled with a variety of books, of different genres, themes and in several languages.
Our Small Free Libraries are installed by us in parks and public places in Setúbal. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our motto is “Bring a book, Take a book”.
We have a signed agreement with the Setúbal City Council to install 12 more units in other public places where they will be accessible to the entire community.
In addition to encouraging reading and recirculating books, our goals also include citizenship education and the recycling of end-of-life equipment, such as refrigerators.
But we do have costs, including tools, fixtures, paints, transportation, communication and other overheads that need to be taken care of, since we do not have any funding or subsidies. Your contribution can help ensure the long-term continuity of the project and its possible expansion.
Donors of 120 euros earn the right to receive an engraved plaque affixed to the fridge/library of their choice and of which they will remain as exclusive sponsors. But please donate whatever amount you think is best, with all funds being allocated exclusively to the main Letra por Letra project.
