CW: child sexual abuse

Elisa Boyer, a student in the College at UChicago, needs our support! She has been going through the hardest period of her life and is currently without a home. Elisa has given permission to share her story in the hopes that she can get the resources she needs right now to secure a stable housing situation for now and in the coming months.

Elisa's mother is under investigation for raping her four year old brother; Elisa reported her mother when no one else would. Her mother is now telling Elisa that she ruined her life and that she is going to kill herself. Elisa has moved home to be near her brother, who she raised, and is hopping around from place to place right now with no permanent home. She is struggling to finish classes this year due to the instability and stress and is looking for work to support herself and her brother through this. Despite requesting $3000, she received just $1000 from UChicago's Emergency Grants Program, not nearly enough to support her at this challenging time. She is the sole provider for her housing and needs.
