Help save Santa Clarita's only mom-owned indoor play center catering to children 10 years old and younger from this devastating Covid-19 closure.
In 2017 the vision to open House of Bounce came to fruition by an extremely hard working woman, mother, professional and visionary who risked her entire life's saving and sacrificed her career to bring her dream to life. That woman is me, Tiffany Blankenship (Stowers). I take pride that I was able to take the risk of becoming a black owned business owner, now single mother, and quit my career to follow my dream and made it come true. No loans, No investor, No seed money, just my Faith in the Lord to guide me and He got me through my journey.
House of Bounce is an indoor playground that caters to families in the Los Angeles county community of Santa Clarita, California. Being that Santa Clarita is a family orientated neighborhood community, House of Bounce was able to thrive and keep all children engaged in interactive activities, host birthday parties and we are inclusive to all children regardless of their abilities. We have provided services to all guests that consists of free support groups to Mothers post partartum, Sensory Friendly Sundays for children with limited abilities, charitable contributions, Mom appreciation nights, monthly events, daily activities stimulating learning and cognitive sensory fun as well as hourly games.
As many of you know, owning and operating a small business in Los Angeles is already a daunting task on a regular day to day basis. Now with this COVID-19 pandemic a lot of those small business like myself are faced with shutting their doors to practice social distancing and all of their employees are being laid off. With this pandemic we have been closed since March 2020 and since we are an indoor play gym we are not authorized to reopen until Phase 3 as we are considered high risk. Being in the service industry where all of our money is made by client-base this is an extremely strenuous time for those who work in this industry, however the owners of these businesses are not able to receive the benefits that employees are, We were unable to secure a business loan and we have yet to be approved for any aid PPP loan program through the SBA which we were counting on to get us by during this unforeseen time and insurance does not cover loss of business due to a pandemic as well. Though we have been closed we are still required to pay for rent, bills, utilities, insurance etc, not to mention once we reopen the income that comes with being able to provide services. We would like to be able to open our doors when this mandated order is over, but we need the finances to do so. I am asking the community especially those who have ever enjoyed their time, hosted an event, just came to play, received services or enjoyed the socializing of at House of Bounce to donate what they can to get us through this incredibly terrifying time. No amount is too small or too big. Even if all you can do is share with a friend or donate a dollar any support is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advanced.
