Build a Memorial - Not Tear One Down

Donation protected
We need to be raising memorials.  Not tearing them down.

My name is Nick Rader.  I am a high school student in Richmond, Indiana.  I am a son of The American Revolution - my mother is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.  We spent a summer looking at our family history and I learned that our history is important - learning about it can help us not repeat it but also gives a sense of heritage.

Over the years, I have spent a lot of time at the Veteran's Park in my home town and I noticed that our Veteran's Park has no memorial to the American Revolutionary War.  As my Eagle Scout Project, I am going to erect this monument and I need your help.  I started this project last summer and due to COVID, all of my fundraising efforts have stalled a little so I am asking for your help.

The monument alone is $13,085.   The design I came up with is beautiful and worthy of our veteran's.  It is a four sided pyramid shape 3 feet tall.

As you can see, this black granite memorial will be amazing.

More costs on this:
The crane is $500.00.
The concrete and brick work for the base is going to be approximately an additional $6500.00 including the electrician.  It will have a light on top of it to be the flame of freedom.

Our Veteran's Park is amazing with memorials to each service branch.  And one for each major engagement for our country.  We have space for the traveling Vietnam Memorial and it also has memorials to POW/MIA as well as a monument to our Women Veterans.  It is a community center loved by many in our area.  I want to add to the beauty with my Eagle Project

This mark in the picture is where the memorial will be placed.  I have already been approved by the City Board, the Park committee, and the Eagle Project review committees.

American is a beacon of Freedom to the whole world and this monument should be a reminder to everyone that what we have is special.  It is also a proper memorial to fit on the veteran's park where we honor the veteran's of our country.

Help me build this monument.  Let's not tear down any more.
Thanks
Nick
