Lester Family Emergency Support

Greetings All,

We are Chance and Traci McPherson, and we are asking for you to help us support our friends Samantha, Joe and Dylan Lester during their time of loss and a significant life change.

Samantha’s daughter, Alexx passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13th. She was a young, single mother of three beautiful children, all under 10 years old. Her passing is sudden and devasting for the Lester family and Samantha’s father, and heartbreaking for these children who no longer have their mom.

Samantha, Joe, and Dylan have brought Alexx’s three children into their home and will continue to raise them and care for them.

As you can imagine, this is a major life change for the Lester family. As many of you know, the financial commitment it takes to care for one child is significant, and now they have suddenly taken on three children. There are also many fees and time-consuming hours needed to navigate all of the legalities in a situation like this.

Samantha and Joe are independent contract musicians who play for different orchestras in Georgia and Alabama. They teach young people how to play various instruments through independent lessons. They also put so much time and energy into young musicians in Rome, Georgia, organizing and leading the Rome Youth Symphony Orchestra. As they adjust to this life change, they may have to take some time away from their work to meet the needs of their grandchildren, which could impact their income.

My goal is to raise at least $2000 per child, at least $6000 total, to help the Lesters during this transition time. It would be a tremendous gift to the Lesters, who have given so much to the arts and to talented young people in our community and others. Please find it in your heart to support the Lesters in any way you can.
