Eagle Project Lesser Park Landscape

I have been in scouting since I was in the first grade, and as my 18th birthday approaches, early 2018 is time for my adventure to come to a close with my final achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout. The most extensive portion of this achievement is the planning and execution of a community service project. I have selected Belle Isle's Lesser Park to beautify and completely renovate. With the necessary funding, this project will yield a more inviting environment near the City Hall.

This will be achieved through the installation of a path from the entrance (near the stop sign), to the center. The center will remain an open grass area extending from the sign to the bench. This bench will be painted a muted beige tone to match the Lesser Park sign. Surrounding this open area will be various flowers and bushes. 85 various perennial flowers will be installed in sporadic patches enclosed by borders. Other plants and bushes such as Crouton Mammies, Golden Dewdrops, and Loropetalum Plum Delight will be installed near the flowers for filler and artistic reasons. Furthermore, there will be a border of Dwarf Mondo grass installed around the entire park (except for openings for further ease of community access). A doggie bag station, along with a hitch for a dog leash will be installed together to the right of the bench, allowing for relaxation without having to worry about your pet running away. The project has already been approved by the city manager Bob Francis, it is simply a matter of gaining the necessary funding so I can execute.

Since my 18th birthday is April 1st (and unfortunately this is not an April Fools prank), I am in need if funding as quickly as possible.

Your donation will come with my unmeasurable gratitude for helping me achieve my lifelong goal of Eagle Scout and the thanks of the Belle Isle Community who will enjoy a drastically more inviting element to the city.

Please take some time to view what the park is like in its current state, and what my plan is to bring it to life
