Leonardo’s Tibial Hemimelia Operation

Hello, I am a teenage mother of a wonderful baby boy named Leonardo. He’s my first bubba and he was given to me unexpectedly from god and he’s all that I will cherish. Leo is a wonderfully bright, smart and generous little fella but he was born with Tibial hemimelia which is a disability that effects one in a million babies and I hit the jackpot unfortunately. It’s not a very common problem among  disabilities so it’s a very complicated thing to try and fix. My partner and I would love to fix our sons leg and keep the leg but keeping it and fixing it would prevent him from running, playing around and to even have a normal childhood is hard because no matter how much we fix the leg by tearing some skins apart to replace it and taking bones from other body part.. it’ll never be a proper leg so we divided to amputate because it’ll be so long until he can run around a play so I’m crushed and  torn by all the decisions.
