What am I doing?

The Montane Spine Race is regarded as one of the world’s toughest endurance races. A truly epic challenge that will test my physical resilience and mental fortitude. Racing non-stop along the most iconic trail, " The Pennine Way", in January 2023, experiencing the full intensity and ferocity of the British Winter. I'm preparing myself for the biggest challenge of my life to date

The Pennine Way is one of Britain's most demanding National Trails and certainly the most iconic. The trail crosses some of the most beautiful and, at times, rugged terrain found in England, starting in the Peak District, heading North through Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall and the Cheviots, finishing at the Scottish Borders, Kirk Yethom, near the village of Coldstream.

The MONTANE® Spine® Race is open to anyone with appropriate experience* who wishes to test themselves and compete in a truly demanding race. Expect to face extreme weather, deep snow, ice, mud, bogs, groundwater, storm-force winds and driving rain in a gruelling, non-stop, 7-day race from Edale to Kirk Yetholm.
