Leo M. Fitzgerald Scholarship Fund
Leo Michael Fitzgerald lost his battle with the demons of addiction on February 19, 2020, at the age of 31.
He graced the presence of many schools in the Manchester area, building many friendships along the way. Leo worked in the field of auto body at a variety of locations gaining knowledge, experience, and immense talent. His last place of employment was with the Portland Collison family. Leo always had a song in his heart and on his lips and loved many different music genres. He was raised with a love of music and attended many concerts with his Dad. They would be often found following the music group "Yes" around the country. Leo was also a freestyle artist whose works of art can be seen at many bridges and buildings in the Manchester area. He was a kind, compassionate, loving person who gave great hugs and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Though addiction affected him and brought out characteristics that were heartbreaking to deal with, it never changed who he was. He was always supportive of his peers and their battles and tried to help others succeed where he failed. His family and friends are devastated by his loss and we hope and pray that others will take caution in their actions and choices and save their families from grief and loss.
Donations made here will be used to start a college fund for Leo’s two young children, Riley and Michael.
