Leo Eagle project: Landscape Christian Layman Church Grounds

Hi Everyone -

My name is Leo Kansal and I am fundraising to help Christian Layman Church improve the area for their Sunday School. I'm a scout in Troop 4 and for my Eagle Scout project, I'll be building a fire-defensible space to help protect the school and landscaping the grounds to be more environmentally friendly and inviting for the children.

The funds I raise will go toward plants and mulch (for the landscaping), small rocks for the fire barrier, and all the necessary supporting materials to ensure the new landscaping lasts a long time.

Christian Layman Church has been an important part of the Asian-American and Christian community for over 100 years. One of the things I found most inspiring about them was how they provided shelter to families after World War II and stored the belongings of Japanese-American families during the war to protect them through Japanese internment.
