Hi, my name is Lisa and on Sunday August 17th 2025, along with Wendy and Maggie, I will be doing the Dundee Kiltwalk to raise funds for the Lennix Hughes Forever 16 Fund. 

When long time friends of ours Wendy and Kevin, suddenly lost their 16 year old daughter Lennix in March 2023, they set up a fund in her memory, the Lennix Hughes Forever 16 Fund. The fund is to honour Lennix's love for life and celebrate her loving, caring personality.

Last year my family and I found ourselves in a terrible situation when our son became critically unwell following an accident abroad. Our friend Gill started a GoFundMe and along with many, many kind donators, the Lennix Hughes Forever 16 Fund kindly donated £1000 to help go towards the cost of getting our son home, for which we are eternally grateful.

Every penny raised for the Lennix Hughes Forever 16 Fund goes straight back into the community and has seen Help For Kids, Dundee & Angus Foodbank and other community groups and individuals be awarded.

It only seems fitting that I give back to the community by taking on the challenge of walking the 20 mile route from St. Andrews to Dundee.

Taking part in this year's Kiltwalk for the Lennix Hughes Forever 16 Fund not only allows me to say thank you to Wendy and Kev but also to the Dundee community. Most importantly though, it raises money in honour of Lennix's kind and caring nature.
