Hi, my name is JonnieAnn. I’m 17 and I am starting this GoFundMe for my family. My grandmother has been our rock for many years. Recently, her health began to decline at an extremely rapid rate. Since my grandmother got sick, my mom has to take off work or leave early to help care for her. Unfortunately, my mom does not have/get sick or vacation time. Therefore, she is not getting paid during her time out of work. My dad is doing the best he can to continue working to provide for us, but one person is only able to do so much. My uncle has taken a leave of absence but we can only stretch our finances so far. Some days my sister and I take turns watching after and caring for my grandmother when no other adults are around because they cannot afford or have the option to take off of work. With my mom having to take time off work, we are really starting to see and feel the struggle.

Our family has been hit hard recently, losing both grandparents on my father’s side along with the losses of grandma’s sisters. My grandma losing her only family left, definitely took a toll on her.

If you had met my grandmother, you would know how gentle of a soul she has. She would give a stranger her last dollar just so they don’t starve and have something to eat. She would give her last cigarette to a ‘bum’ just because that’s who she was. She was always the person that was there to help others.

She is an amazing woman & if everyone in the world could possess those traits, the world would be a much better place.

My grandma is our rock. Shes the strongest person we know. If there is any help out there, my family would appreciate it more than we could put in words.
