IFK Legacy CIC – Help Us Build Lemmy’s Legacy in Burslem
Honouring Lemmy Where His Story Began...
Burslem, The Mothertown, is a place shaped by makers, musicians and grafters. It’s the birthplace of Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, and the character of this town matches the man: creative, tough, and proudly independent.
IFK Legacy CIC was created to honour Lemmy in the place that shaped him. Working with Singerman Entertainment and world renowned sculptor Andy Edwards (creator of the Fab Four statue on Liverpool Pier Head), we commissioned a full bronze statue to celebrate
Lemmy’s legacy.
On 9th May 2025, the statue was unveiled to an incredible crowd. It stands proudly in Burslem Market Place, a landmark that finally gives Lemmy his place in the town where it all began - BURSLEMMY.
But the statue was only Stage One.
Stage Two will be a new Music & Community Venue in Lemmy’s name – The Kilmister Halls.
We are now working to create a 21st century venue in Burslem, a space for live music, community events, creativity, and cultural regeneration.
On 29th May 2026, we met with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and received a tentative agreement to move forward with our vision. The building we are pursuing is the semi derelict Queens Hall, located just behind the statue.
It’s a sleeping giant. A piece of civic heritage. A future home for music, culture and community.
Our full plans and concept designs can be viewed at www.Lemmyforever.uk
Lemmy Needs YOU!
Before major funding can be unlocked, we must complete essential early stage work:
• building & structural surveys
• architectural concept designs
• heritage & conservation assessments
• legal & procurement costs
• specialist advice from theatre, music and regeneration partners
These are unavoidable costs, the groundwork that allows us to move from ambition to reality.
While Lemmy may have sung about the Ace of Spades, we don’t gamble with your money, or with the legacy of the man. Every penny raised goes directly into the professional work required to bring the Queens Hall back into use.
We are the Roadcrew
This project is powered by the same spirit that kept Motörhead rolling for decades; hard work, commitment, community spirit, and people pulling together to make something amazing happen.
Volunteers, residents, musicians and supporters are already involved, helping us build momentum step by step.
A Legacy That Lasts
The Queens Hall may look like it’s been Killed by Death, but we know better. It’s battered, neglected and waiting for its moment. With your help, we can bring it back to life.
We’re not trying to recreate the past. We’re building something new, something future focused, something that gives Burslem a cultural space worthy of its heritage.
A place where:
• young musicians can grow
• families can gather
• creativity can thrive
• local businesses benefit
• and Lemmy’s name continues to inspire
Every donation helps us move closer to restoring the Queens Hall and creating a venue that will serve generations to come.
If you can give £10, £25, £50 or more, you’re helping us take the next step.
If you share this page, you’re helping us reach the people who care.
If you support this project, you’re helping build something that will stand for decades.
Thank You
Thank you for supporting IFK Legacy CIC. Thank you for supporting Burslem. Thank you for keeping the spirit of true Rock n Roll alive…for decades to come.
