Leigh's Love for Kenya Lives On
Spende geschützt
There are some losses we cannot live long enough to fully grieve. Leigh Vierstra is one of them. Her loss is great and those of us left are longing to amplify the ripples of her legacy in her absence. It is my prayer that her death does not create a vacuum, but rather an explosion of her love, compassion and wildness - first wrapping us all up in warmth and then extending outwards to others. Chief among her seemingly endless passions, was Kenya.
Before Leigh died, she was organizing yet another trip to her beloved Kenya, with the goal of fundraising for student tuition and for wildlife through PA-MOJA and Ol Pejeta Conservancy. She worked closely with both of these organizations and held both of them dear as she shepherded countless learners to Kenya over the course of a decade.
A small but hearty group, including myself and my son Nash, will honor Leigh in completing her planned trip this summer in Kenya. A fraction of the funds raised here will finance the trip and the rest will go to student tuition. We will spread a portion of her ashes in the conservancy and hold community with the Kenyan people she loved so fiercely. Please join us in mobilizing funds in honor of Leigh and her enduring legacy.
Blessings,
