Help Leigh Anne kick cancer’s ass!

If chemo wasn’t robbing her of all of her energy, she would likely kick my ass for doing this but as per my usual, I’m going to do it anyway.

As most of you know, my amazing mom,  Leigh Anne, was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. As she bravely faces this challenge, she is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will have extensive surgery this summer. She will then need immunotherapy for a full year of treatment and will continue to receive hormone suppressive therapy for years after.

She is very fortunate to be well rooted in the medical community and to work for amazing friends and providers like Sean and Lindsay Hensler. I am grateful that they are there to care for her until I can.

Though her cancer is highly treatable, it is also very expensive and we are just in the first phase of treatment. This journey has already been emotionally and financially taxing, and we want to ensure that she can focus on her health and recovery without the added stress of medical bills and other expenses. Your support will help cover

copays and any additional necessary care she may need during her treatment and recovery.

My mom has dedicated her life to caring for others. It shows in the way she loves me and my siblings and how she is a true ride or die friend. Many people have reached out to ask what they could do. The DoorDash cards are greatly appreciated and have saved her on multiple nights when she was too tired to prepare a meal. However it seems that there is always a new medication or other unexpected expense to pop up and she would never ask for help. It’s not in her nature. So I’m doing it for her because she is hyper independent and stubborn as hell!

I would like to express my gratitude on our family’s behalf in advance. Let’s show the person who is always there for us that we appreciate the times she held our hands, was our biggest cheerleader, and stood by our sides.
