My name is Julissa. As some of you may know from my last post, our family is going through something we never imagined we’d face.

Recently, our beloved cousins were detained by ICE, leaving a huge void in our hearts and in our daily lives. They are kind, hardworking, and family-oriented people who have always given so much love and support to everyone around them. Now, instead of being home where they belong, they are facing uncertainty and hardship behind walls. They are being treated inhumane and are given contaminated food and water. This situation has been overwhelming and emotionally draining for all of us. We want nothing more than to bring them back to their family and give them the chance to live freely and safely.

Our cousins are not just names in a system—they are loved family members who have built a life here, and they deserve the chance to fight their case with fairness and dignity. Unfortunately, the cost of legal counsel, filing fees, and commissary support while they are detained is far more than our family can manage alone. We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help cover legal fees during this difficult time.

Recientemente, nuestros queridos primos fueron detenidos por ICE, lo que dejó un gran vacío en nuestros corazones y en nuestra vida diaria. Nuestros primos no son solo nombres en un sistema; son queridos familiares que han construido una vida aquí y merecen la oportunidad de defender su caso con justicia y dignidad. Desafortunadamente, el costo de la asesoría legal, las tasas de trámite y el apoyo en la comisaría mientras están detenidos es mucho más de lo que nuestra familia puede afrontar sola.
