Legal representation of Steph, Kylie and Lillie

My name is Kayla and my cousin has been put in one of the most devastating situations anyone could fathom, anyone who knows Stephanie and her girls can see how much she loves them, cares for them, and would do anything to protect them and keep them with her. Stephanie is put in a difficult position where she needs to now fight for these girls she loves and has been with since birth. Stephanie needs to obtain a lawyer to, in the least, represent her and her rights, and to do the most she can to bring the girls back where they belong – with her and their family in Rhode Island/Massachusetts.

It is unfortunate that due to jurisdictional issues after recently moving to Massachusetts from Rhode Island, and having allowed the girls to visit with their father in Maine, the father has kept the children and filed for custody, putting jurisdiction over the matter in that state. Stephanie has already exhausted all of her finances on a lawyer in Rhode Island, but the lawyer can no longer represent her, as the jurisdiction is in another state. In a situation as complicated as this, Stephanie needs new representation and the funds to do so in order to have the best chance of bringing the girls home.

Anyone who can contribute to the lawyer fees for representing Stephanie in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Without the proper funding, Stephanie will have to enter a courtroom without representation and be put at a major disadvantage without legal counsel. Any help, even if you can only offer a prayer is very much needed in this delicate situation. Our whole family is totally devastated over this and as for my cousin I can’t even begin to tell you how she is feeling, she is completely lost without her children. As for the children I’m sure they are very confused as they were supposed to start school this week in their new home town of Franklin where they have found a love for their local ymca, along with some new hobbies including tennis, and due to start dance class this coming week which they’ve attended for years with their cousin.
