Legal Representation for N

UPDATE: Y’all, I am seriously blown away by the generosity of our friends and family. I am in tears. 25 hours after our first donation and N’s attorney is fully funded with extra in case it drags on. I cannot thank you all enough. I am slightly in shock and just so, so grateful. We really have the best community. We will keep you posted as we are able. In the meantime, please be praying for our next hearing in October.

Friends who have been following our foster journey, we are coming to our community for help (with the nudge of a couple friends, encouraging us to start this page). For privacy reasons we will not be sharing details of N’s case, but we have been advised to hire an attorney for the rest of this journey. When we began fostering almost three years ago now, we didn’t think we would be in this position. N has been with us since we picked him up from the hospital at 5 days old, we are the only family he knows and he is in jeopardy of being removed from our care. We are pleading with our friends and family to rally with us to get him the representation he needs concerning his future. We have reached out to multiple attorneys and had a consultation with one yesterday that we believe is a good fit for his case. Her retainer is $4000 assuming it doesn’t drag on, so we are setting our goal to $5000 and will donate any remaining funds to our amazing licensing organization- A Door of Hope.
