Legal Representation for Husband & Father, Alejandro Vargas

Hello friends and family, I am Devon Therrien, wife of Alejandro Vargas, and mother to our 2 beautiful daughters. We have been together for 9 years, where we met in 2016. From the moment we met, the rest was history and we started our little family. Through happiness, and through hardships we have always been a team. Alejandro has worked hard his entire life and supported our children and I since the beginning.

74On Tuesday, May 6th, at 6:20am that world was ripped from us when Immigration held a sting operation in our neighborhood, pulling us over while on the way to take our daughter to school. We had only driven down our street when 4 unmarked, personal vehicles pinned us to a stop sign completely surrounding us. There was 5 "officers" surrounding our vehicle screaming for Alejandro to get out, and they refused to answer any questions. They threatened to break our driver side window and out of fear Alejandro opened the door where they ripped him out of the seat, throwing him against the car and handcuffing him. The officers had no badges, nor did they identify themselves with ICE. They knew our schedule and were waiting for us to leave the house. They placed him inside the front passenger seat handcuffed inside a Suburu with the officer concealing his face with a mask. They continued to not show me any form of warrant signed by a judge and the other officers left without telling me their badge numbers or names. It was utterly inhumane and felt like a kidnapping right in front of my daughter's and I's face.

Alejandro is a good person, a great husband, and an even better father and he was ripped from our family without proof of warrant. I am now living as a single mother on a single person income trying to make ends meet for our family with the weight of the world on my shoulders, and have now become a statistic with other families facing the same problems. I am making this gofundme to help assist with legal care so we can bring my husband home and continue life as a family.
