Legal Help Needed for Trinity's Guardianship
Donation protected
On Monday, May 12th, 2025, I received a call from my 12-year-old granddaughter, Trinity, crying and begging me from her school's restroom. Her neglectful, abusive, drug-addled mother had arrived at the school early to avoid a family friend that Trinity was safely staying with. Trinity did not want to return to an environment that was violent, unpredictable, and unhealthy. The trailer my granddaughter had been in with her mother had no hot water, holes in the floors and walls, mold growing in the bathrooms, and is in major disrepair. To make matters worse, the lot rent was unpaid, and an eviction was being court-ordered.
Within 48 hours, I closed my thriving small business in Florence, Arizona, bank accounts, ended a 5-year romantic relationship, packed my valuables, and drove to Indiana. I was granted temporary guardianship for 90 days.
In order to continue the process towards permanent guardianship, I will need legal representation. After exhausting my savings to get to Indiana, hitting a deer in New Mexico and damaging my auto, motel rooms until I could find housing, and daily travel expenses, I cannot afford the retainer.
I am asking my family and friends for help. Any donations are helpful, as legal expenses are stacking up.
