My name is Taylor Enterline, in September 2020, I was arrested for protesting in Lancaster City after a police shooting. I have always been an active member of my community and an activist in Lancaster County since I was in high school. Since my arrest, my life has been completely derailed due to the actions of the Lancaster City Police and the slow progress of our criminal-court system. Forcibly silenced over the past two years I have anxiously waited for my day in court, it was not until January of 2023 I finally had my day. Though I still can not speak truly on the matter, I was convicted on felony riot charges along with several misdemeanors. As I await sentencing in the next coming month I am aware of the overload of financial strain that is heading my way in terms of restitution and continuous lawyer fees. Though I graduated college in December of 2022, my life has been put on pause due to this case and will continue to be under this financial burden. There has been no justice for me, therefore there has been no peace. With the position I'm in I have not been able to truly advocate for myself in the way I wish I could but for now, this is all I can do.
