In November 2021, Kimberly and Joey were asked to be Kyler's guardians for a short period of time. The short period of time stretched into 2.5 years. During these 2.5 years, Kimberly and Joey have given Kyler a safe, stable, and loving home. They have taken on the role of not just guardians but also parents. The goal for them was to always have Kyler placed back with his biological parents when the time was right, but most importantly, that God's will happen in Kyler's life. It has become clear that the safest and most stable home for Kyler will be a permanent home with Joey and Kimberly.
