Legal fees for fair parenting time

It has come to be that I have to hire a lawyer and go to court to have equal and just parenting time with my son.  I have complied with everything possible and still, am only "allowed" 4 hours per week.    
I desire to have him with me all the time but am asking for 50% joint custody and parenting time.   As a self-employed musician and business owner, I am limited in funds and am asking my friends, family, and community to help me in this very emotional and personal desire.   I have never felt such love and accountability in my life and I deserve the right to be a parent.
