Legal fees for 4 Singh’s

Early in April, a few young Singh’s were travelling to Panjab from Hazoor Sahib. They had been to get darshan before sitting their final exams.

whilst on the train, some older intoxicated men were smoking on the Sachkand Express. The Singh’s explained that the train has come from Sachkand, is full of Gursikhs, sangat are reading Gurbani and smoking is clearly not permitted on the train.

The intoxicated men got aggressive with the young Singh’s and shortly after were joined by 15 - 20 more of their friends who also staring abusing the young Singh’s.

The young Singh’s were clearly outnumbered and although they tried to defend themselves, there was not much they could do amongst the group of men.

One of the men was injured during the altercation and the Singh’s are currently in police custody.

These young Singh’s simply told a man to stop smoking and they’ve ended up in this position due to the man being under heavy drug influence.

The Singh’s are all amritdhari Gursikh’s and are wrongly being held.

The only way for the case to be dropped is for the Singh’s to raise the money for their bail. The Singh’s and their families are involved in panthic seva and do not have the funds to cover the bail.

we are appealing to the Guru Khalsa Saad Sangat to help raise £1,000 for the bail of each of the Singh’s.

The father of one of the Singh’s is disabled and already struggling to cover the cost of their house rent. Another father of the Singh has recently lost a child unexpectedly. These families will not be able to pay the bail without help from the sangat.
