Legal Costs Strain Dad's Finances

Hello, I'm a single dad just looking for help after a 6-year battle in court for the health and safety of my 15-year-old daughter. Yes, I'm a single dad who walked away, after such a long battle, with full custody. After a staggering $40k+ in legal fees, so many court hearings, and many hours spent in court, on the phone and in office with attorneys, and delays with hearings, I'm proud to say it has finally ended with getting full physical custody and a much healthier and happier daughter.
I'm not one to ask for help with many things. I try to do any and everything I can possibly do on my own. It has come to a point that I've realized that my struggling should not have an impact on being able to provide my daughter with happy teenage years. Yes, I know you're probably wondering how and why I was able to do this. Truth is that I watched her suffer through the pain and torment and had to step up since her mother wouldn't seek the help she needs. It wasn't always that way but sadly, it's what we have learned to deal with.
I'm just trying to get back on my feet after piling up these legal expenses to provide my family with some financial stability and pay off the remaining legal fees due. I'm not one to ask for help often, yet here I am swallowing my pride for the sake of a better life for my youngest daughter. I appreciate any and all contributions that you may be able to help with. It will go toward paying off the c.c. bills and 2nd mortgage on my house. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, please reach out and I can share in a more private conversation.
