Legal Aid Needed: Marcus and Remington's Story

Hey there,

I was told this may be a viable option to help with some legal fees. For those who know me, you may not need this part, but for those who don't, let me brief you.

I'm Marcus Webber, and my youngest son is Remington Inman Webber. This child is my world. For 18 months, his mother has not been abiding by our parenting plan, nor has she helped in any way to support or raise our son. I've been working a full-time job, and I have established a supporting network of friends that are as close as family. During these developmental years, he has prospered and grown amazingly. I provide him with a safe, stable, and healthy life where all of his needs are met.

Recently, his mother (spurred on for unknown reasons) has decided to use the state's laws in her favor, levying the threats of criminal charges should I not cave and let her have him at any time she demands. My son has ADHD, and for those of you who also are plagued with this, know that structure helps curb the impulsivity of this. I offer this.

I have hired a lawyer to help me settle this dispute. I have attempted time and time again to have this settled amicably, to no avail. I don't even want full custody, just joint, with full placement with me.

I'm not the best father, but I'm not a complete failure. I want the best for my son. I've failed one of my kids already. I'd rather not fail this one. So I need your help, because as many are aware, the US legal system thinks fathers are second-class citizens, even though 80% of children raised by a father in a single-parent home are less likely to be arrested or violate moral or ethical laws.
