Hello, I am Wanda Lopshire and I'm trying to raise funds for my younger cousin, Meka, to allow her to hire an attorney for termination of parental rights of the biological father of her little girl. Baby A, as the family has always called her! She isn't a baby any longer, however! She is a bright, funny, VERY funny, caring, and loving little girl now. Meka is a young mother; people would say mistakes were made, but not our family. Meka has grown into her role as a mom; everything she does is for her daughter, including the move to terminate bio dad's rights. He was never an active father and hasn't seen her in 3 1/2 years. He is currently incarcerated. He is violent, gang-affiliated, and has made threats against Meka's life that we did, and do, not take lightly. It is in Baby A's best interests that she is protected from him, beyond the permanent protection order. Meka has done all she can without representation; it is time to hire someone to help advocate for both her and her daughter.
