Legacy of Jenan AbuRomi: Supporting Jeel al Amal

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

On Friday, May 20th, our beloved Jenan Aburomi returned to her Lord at the young age of 39.  Anyone who knew Jenan understands the magnitude of this loss and the void that has left all of us reeling in anguish.  In the face of death, one can dwell on the sadness and loneliness of missing the one who has moved on.  But in the case of Jenan's departure from this world, we not only feel the immense loss but also the intensity and greatness of her spirit.   She was always grateful for the good in her life and frequently you would hear her say "Alhamduillah", through the good times and the bad.   She knew to appreciate the beauties in this life as it comes.  Her nature was to love big and love all.  Because of her overwhelming kindness and compassion, she found herself constantly supporting many initiatives involving children. One close to her heart were the orphans of Jeel al Amal home and school in Azeria also known as Bethany - near Jerusalem. In 2017, she visited them, and her generous and caring nature deeply moved the staff and the children. In the legacy of her love, compassion, and kindness, we are collecting donations in her name for the children of Jeel al Amal. As many of you know, Jenan recently became a mother herself. She naturally had many hopes, ambitions, and dreams for her son, and inshaallah with your generosity, these hopes and dreams will be granted to all of the children receiving aid in her name.
