Left without a habitable home

Hi my name is Jessica, I have created this fundraiser to help a family friend and her family. They have been left in such a horrendous stressful situation at such a sensitive time in their lives. While their son Logan was In hospital fighting for his life, local builders took their money promising to complete the work before Logan was due back home from hospital. They took over 20k of their money for materials that were never delivered/Installed and labour that wasn't carried out. They lied about Progress, promised work that had been carried out and works would be finished for when Logan was discharged. Instead they damaged their brand new kitchen, failed to carry out the work paid for and allowed a vulnerable toddler to come home to a house that is barely liveable with no working kitchen, missing plumbing of appliances and freezing due to the state they have left the garage in.

The day they came home, the builders packed up their things, left and said they would be back on the monday. Since then they have ignored multiple communications, failed to come back and taken down all their websites and social media accounts. The family are now looking at almost double what they have already paid to fix the dodgy work, money they simply don't have right now.

They were instructed in June, so knew exactly what was going on with Logan when he was Rushed to PICU In September and still took advantage.

This family should be able to focus on their son in a safe comfortable environment which was promised. To be able to support him through his rehabilitation and combat the permanent damage Strep A has caused. I know this family would not be comfortable asking for money but I feel they have been through so much stress and they deserve to at least have a safe environment to aid Logans recovery.
