Hello and thank you for visiting this page.
My name is Ai, and I am a mother living in Japan with my baby daughter Lita, born in March 2024.
In mid-April, my Irish husband suddenly returned to Ireland without any notice, leaving us behind.
He made this decision based on personal reasons, without any discussion.
Since then, he has stopped responding to my messages, and I do not know if or when he will return.
Before he left, my husband had been struggling with alcohol addiction.
He would sometimes drink substances like hand sanitizer when alcohol was unavailable.
When I was in my final month of pregnancy — and again when our baby was just 1.5 months old — he was taken to the emergency room for acute alcohol poisoning.
It was terrifying, especially while I was heavily pregnant or caring for a newborn.
Despite this, I tried my best to support him and keep our family together.
I’m currently facing this situation alone while raising our daughter.
Before my husband left, he was unemployed for a long time, and I used all of my savings to cover our living expenses — rent, food, medical bills, and baby supplies. Now my savings are completely gone.
To make matters more difficult, I’ve been diagnosed with postpartum depression and continue to receive psychiatric care.
I’m doing my best to stay strong for my daughter, but I am reaching my physical and mental limits.
How the donations will be used
Your kind support will help cover our essential living expenses for the next few months:
Rent for 6 months: €600/month × 6 = €3,600
Utilities (electricity, gas, water): €300/month × 6 = €1,800
Food for one adult and a baby: €150/month × 6 = €900
Diapers and baby items: €150/month × 6 = €900
GoFundMe fees (approx. 8%)
Even a small donation means a lot.
Thank you for considering helping us.
Update on Our Situation
On May 25th, I received a message from my mother-in-law informing me that my husband does not intend to return to Japan.
After receiving this news, my depression worsened to the point that there were days when I could not get out of bed.
With Lita here, I am managing to take care of her barely, just getting by.
Therefore, I sincerely apologize, but I would like to request an extension of the period from three months to six months.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
Optional Rewards
Thank you so much for your support.
Due to my current financial situation, I may not be able to offer immediate physical rewards.
However, if you love Japan or are interested in Japanese culture, I’d be happy to share my knowledge and experiences with you.
I’m a passionate otaku who loves anime and games, so we can chat about those too.
And if you ever visit Japan, I would be delighted to help you explore and make your trip special.
Final message
It took a lot of courage to ask for help publicly.
But for the sake of my daughter’s well-being and our future, I’ve decided to reach out.
If you feel moved by our story, please consider donating or simply sharing this page.
Thank you so much for reading.
