Leevile, Louisiana Fisherman Recovery Fund

Good Day Folks.

Adam at Minamoto SeaChange in Austin, Tx here. We believe we work with the best fisherman in the Gulf from Southwest Louisiana. We are a seafood based wholesale company based in Central Texas but buy 90% of our gulf seafood from this part of the state if that tells you anything. Hurricane Ida hit the center of everything we do down there and we want to have our fisherman's backs.

The main goal, coupled with a dinner event to be scheduled shortly, is to raise money for our fisherman so they do not have the burden of missing revenue while they fix their boats, their docks and their homes. Its the least we can do is to get money directly in their pockets ASAP so they can go about their rebuilding process without the added stress of how they will make a living. Fisherman do not make a salary, they make money based on how successful a trip is or isn't, after the bottom line is paid. Top line for us right now is to keep these men paid in the meantime so they can go back to making a living the way they want to, on the ocean that has been so cruel to them this year.

We will update this page with dinner details and other updates as they come. This is meant more for a way for our clients to raise and donate money but totally available to the general public. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. On Friday, Septmeber 10th we will transfer these funds to our fisherman partners to distribute to their crews.
