Leesburg B&O Train Depot Restoration

The Leesburg Area Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of the Leesburg, Ohio area.  Our first project is restoring our 1899 Train Depot so that it can be used for cultural and educational purposes, and attracting history and railroad buffs to our village.   Some potential uses we envision for a restored depot:  a historical museum, programs for school classes, a gathering space that groups can rent, and a downtown concert stage!

Our overall fundraising goal is $50,000, and so far we've raised about $37,800.  For every dollar donated up to the goal amount, the State of Ohio will contribute $2 in grant funds!  Please show your love for Leesburg by helping us restore YOUR depot!

Anyone who wants to get actively involved by contributing materials or professional services, or sharing photographs, artifacts, or memories involving the depot is encouraged to contact the Historical Society at leesburgdepot@gmail.com.You can also follow our progress at www.leesburghistory.org  and www.facebook.com/leesburghistory.
