My brother Lee Faircloth and partner to Fiona Cooke was brutally attacked on the evening of Monday 30th of June. The attack was so bad that he was taken to hospital with a severe head injury, which was later confirmed by the medical team at the hospital it was serious, he had severe swelling and bleeding to his brain
This was an unprovoked attack on my brother by a local man in Swanage who had been drinking that evening.
Lee and Fiona had taken their dog Teddy out for an evening walk and decided to pop into a bar that they often go to for a drink on the way home. When they got in the bar and were having a drink, there was a man in the bar who was drunk and being loud, he then turned his focus to Fiona and Lee, they both said they were leaving as they could see this man was starting to get mouthy and was throwing insults at them. Lee went outside with Teddy and Fiona popped to the toilets on her way out of the bar. This man then waited for Fi to come out of the toilets and tried to grab her inappropriately to which she obviously told him not to do, he then followed her out of the bar and was seen to have tried to hit her on her head from behind, he then saw Lee standing with Teddy and Fi said the next thing she knows was this man punched Lee so hard in his face he didn't stand a chance to protect himself. The force of the punch knocked Lee out instantly and he fell to the ground and cracked his head on the concrete curb; he was unconscious and foaming at the mouth. People in the bars and restaurants nearby heard the horrific noise of Lee's heading hitting the concrete and came out to help.
The man was later arrested and released on bail pending further investigation.
My brother on the other hand is in hospital with severe swelling and bleeding to his brain. He is in so much pain it breaks our hearts seeing him like this
For those of you who know me, you know how much my brother means to me and to those who know Lee, you know how much his Fiona, Aimee and Finn mean to him. We are all broken and trying our best to get through this as a family. Fiona has been at Lee's bedside since he was taken into hospital, often staying with him for 10 - 14 hours a day. Aimee and Finn are devastated that this has happened to Lee, and it is now that I kindly ask you for your support for his family by donating whatever you can
Lee is obviously unable to work and sadly, that isn't going to change anytime soon, and Fiona, Aimee and Finn need to be looked after, they have enough to worry about. Even if you can donate £1, pardon the pun but, every little helps I just want them to be looked after and have no extra worries of paying the bills etc
Fiona, Aimee, and Finn would like to thank everyone who showed their support that awful night by being there for them.
We would all like to thank everyone who has messaged and showed support to me, Fi, and their children. We have been getting lots of messages from people we don't even know who have either seen what happened that night or been told / seen on Swanage News and other media pages.
We are overwhelmed by the love and support out there for us and most of all, for Lee and his beautiful family.
Please, please, please share this with everyone you know so we can raise some money for Lee, Fiona, Aimee, and Finn
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any donations you can spare.
Lee has a long journey ahead of him but with the love of his Fiona, Aimee, Finn and of course me, we as a family, will get him through this
Thank you all once again, Lisa, Fiona, Aimee, and Finn xxxxx
