More information about Airedale & Wharfedale Autism Resource - AWARE: AWARE (Airedale and Wharfedale Autism Resource) is a member-based parent-run CIO, that supports families with children and young adults on the autistic spectrum. It was registered as a CIO on 25th April 2017, with the charity number 1172753. There is an obvious need for support organisations like AWARE in the UK, as roughly 1% of the UK population (700,00 people) have been diagnosed with autism, according to the National Autistic Society1. Our membership is made up of 1208 families, and 155 professionals.
