Lee-anne Manuel's fight against leukemia
Donation protected
Hi everyone my name is Rachel Manuel. I am Lee-anne's cousin.
My cousin was diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive cancer, acute myeloid leukemia in July 2024. She went through one round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, she had many complications come up that made her stay all the more difficult. She contracted fungal pneumonia, which increased her stay to 60 days. With the help of Princess Margaret Hospital, she was able to go in remission. Against doctors' orders, she returned to work because of financial stress. The bills continued to pile up as she was in the hospital for those few months. She wasn't able to go back full time due to the number of doctors' appointments. So her financial stress continued to pile up.
Today, I'm sharing the sad news that Lee-Anne’s cancer has returned. She is currently getting another round of treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital. We are praying for her to once again beat this and go into remission.
Leeanne is not the type of person to ask anyone for anything. We all know and love the strong, independent woman that she is. That is why I made this page to help ease some of her stress while she's fighting this battle. If we all come together for her and her family, we can help take away some of the financial burden they are facing. We want her to focus on fighting Cancer and not stressing over not having a home to return to.
Sending love and prayers to all of you wonderful people ❤️
