Hello,

My name is Lee Taylor, I'm a member of Boy Scout Troop 151 in Lake Park, NC and I am fundraising for my Boy Scout Eagle Project. I am working with the Town of Matthews Parks & Rec Dept. and the Tarheel TrailBlazers to build a unique bridge for mountain bikers and hikers at Purser Hulsey Park located in Matthews, NC.

The bridge will be designed to make the trail safer, more fun and enjoyable for mountain bikers and hikers. The new structure will replace an existing small unsafe footbridge over a creek. All funds raised will help purchase lumber, hardware and other supplies to complete the bridge. I hope to start the project within the next 30 days with help from my volunteer team.

Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!  This project will improve the park by creating something that stands out, makes the trail safer for bikers and more enjoyable for all.  Volunteers help maintain mountain bike trails where I ride.  Your donation for this project will be a long lasting piece of the trail system used by folks who love the outdoors.

I have been in scouts most of my life and this project is the last step of my journey to earn Eagle, the highest rank in Boy Scouting.
