Hey everyone,
Two weeks ago I got an unexpected wake up call via a text message. I was asked to write a letter why I wanted to go on a mission team with my church to Rome, Italy
Why am I going? To help others find what changed my life in 2024. In just the last week at my university I met some of the most bold, ambitious, and outwardly focused people I’d ever known, and it was just a family from many different backgrounds that loved God and loved people. It changed the way I saw the world- not as something to escape, as a lifetime of insecurity, anxiety, and inadequacy managed to convince me, but instead as something to change.
That’s why I’m going to Rome- to inspire people to change the world, not escape it, through a mission team that loves God and loves people.
As an international church, our charitable arm ‘MercyWorldwide’ has a global network of volunteers delivering programs to empower youth, care for the vulnerable, and provide relief to disaster zones around the world with four core values of integrity, transparency, unity, and relentless love.
Our AMS (arts, media, and sports) ministry in London ‘SoldOutCollective’ hosts events for multifaceted creatives that leaves people inspired and impacted with a goal of “bringing the entertainment industry back to its genesis”.
I plan on meeting this same goal fuelled passion for music by studying at Saint Louis College of Music, one of Europe’s leading contemporary music schools. As well as furthering my education, this will also transform our AMS through facilities, resources, and networking opportunities to help build a movement of creatives inspiring people to God.
Why I’m Raising Funds?
I’m raising £6000 to cover essential costs:
• Tuition fees and study materials
• Accommodation and living costs while serving in Rome
• Local ministry projects and outreach support
Please consider supporting and sharing this around, It’s not just helping me go to Rome but building a bridge between creativity, faith, and a future for the lives of those there.
Lo Apprezzo!
Cameron Wren
