Support the Leadership for Inclusion Series 2025: Build a World Where Everyone Belongs
Imagine a life full of opportunities. A life where children grow up surrounded by love, attend school with friends, and are encouraged to dream big. A life that includes adventures, participating in music, sport or arts, forming friendships, finding a career path and contributing meaningfully to the community.
For most people, this path is taken for granted. Many children and young people with intellectual disabilities and autism face barriers in reaching these milestones. Inclusion means breaking down those barriers so that their lives unfold no differently from anyone else’s—immersed in the fullness of community life, supported by family, friends, and peers.
This is what the Leadership for Inclusion Series is all about: assisting families to champion inclusion and ensure their loved ones live rich, meaningful lives alongside their non-disabled peers.
What is the Leadership for Inclusion Series?
The Leadership for Inclusion Series is a three-month event held over three weekends which helps families learn more about how to create change for more welcoming and inclusive communities.
It’s an inspiring journey for families who are committed to inclusion and want to deepen their understanding while building a movement for change.
It’s an opportunity to connect with a supportive community, share stories and create lasting change in an uplifting environment.
This series has been developed over 20 years by Inclusion Alberta and has already transformed the lives of thousands of families. We are honoured to have been given the opportunity to offer this transformative series by our leading-edge colleagues in Canada.
Why We Need Your Support
To make this incredible opportunity accessible to families, we’re launching this campaign to:
• Provide sponsorship for a place on this Leadership for Inclusion Series.
• Cover essential expenses like venue hire, facilitation and materials.
• Expand inclusion efforts in Ireland by empowering more families to lead change.
What Your Donation Makes Possible
By supporting this campaign, you are helping create communities where people with intellectual disabilities and autism:
• Learn and grow alongside their peers from the start.
• Dream, work, live and thrive in the same ways we all do.

About us:
Leap is a non-profit, national organisation that works alongside children and young people with disabilities and their families. We work with families, their supporters and allies and their communities of place. We focus our efforts on increasing expectations of what is possible in the lives of people with disabilities. We assist people and families to take action on what matters to them towards the goal of a good life, an ordinary life.
Testimonials from families:
"Leap helped me look at life from a different perspective, to see my children as just children, with different strengths, weaknesses and opportunities just like everyone of us. Thanks to Leap I really feel that I am an integral part of a movement for change. Through their workshops I feel that I now share the same vision of living in a community where we all belong and our differences are accepted."
"Today our son will be attending the local drumming camp. He will independently take the bus there and back. He will hang out with his peers. He will have the life of any other fourteen-year-old. We do not need to access service, he is entitled to July Provision, but because he is knitted in community, he does not need it. This has not happened by accident, rather it has been intentionally created by his family and friends with the support of Leap, buoyed by the vision for his ordinary life, his good life."
"The work that Leap do is crucial. Without their experiential wisdom and training for Families, the life our family member would have taken an entirely different trajectory. They have been instrumental in keeping us on track to create a good life for our son, where he is a valued member of society."
"Leap helped us and everyone else to really believe in our child and the amazing qualities she has to offer. The work facilitated by Leap revealed an ambitious, talented young lady with so much to offer the world. This step was instrumental for creating a vision for our daughter. Leap showed us that there is a ‘good life’ out there for our child, which gave us the confidence and support to go on the journey for an inclusive life. They walked alongside us for all aspects of setting up a good life."
