I will be completing the Weymouth IRONMAN 70.3 in memory of Nikaela Walter and raising money for South Petherton hospital.

Sadly in March Nikaela passed away after a short and brave battle against Mesothelioma a type of lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

Nik worked as an activities coordinator on the stroke ward at the hospital, she was creative, passionate and dedicated to every part of her job. Nikaela was looked after by the wonderful staff at South Petherton hospital in March, where they made her feel comfortable, loved and supported Tim and Elena.

I have chosen to raise money for the hospital as it has a special place in Nikaela’s family’s hearts and seeing how much Nik was valued and adored by the staff and all their hard work shouldn’t go unnoticed.

The 70.3 IRONMAN consists of a 1.9km open water swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run.
