A young 12 year old child, Gifty homeless and experiencing health crisis. This child experienced a stroke, has limited use of her right side, slurred speech, and has difficulty walking. She currently resides in temporary housing which is located in Anum Apapem. She and her mother lives in a small tin roofed structure. This single mother has taken on odd farming jobs to provide but is struggling to feed them and find permanent shelter before she has to leave.
This is just one of many people The Akonoba Foundation helps to support. The Akonoba Foundation is committed to growth, empowerment, and wellness for all. Our mission is to help the less fortunate and bring mental health awareness especially in places where the support is not prominent.
We also do work with widows and children. One widow we have been working with, Elizabeth who is dealing with excessive demands and stress due raising her 7 grandchildren abandoned by their parents. She is living in a small wooded structure that has been damaged due to the rainy season.
This December The Akonoba Foundation will be hosting a food drive and back to school event in Ghana. It takes a village to maintain the village. We are asking that you find it in the kindness of your heart to donate to the less fortunate.
