Hi for those of you who don't know me my name is Elissa and I am close friends with Lea and Quinn.

A few days ago Lea presented to the hospital at 25 weeks pregnant with swollen face feet and hands. After some tests the doctors made the decision to transfer her to King Edwards Hospital. Lea was diagnosed with pre eclampsia which is a severe condition in pregnancy. Her blood pressure was so high that it took a lot of time to get the medication right. She and bubs has been closely monitored, Lea's health has now stabilised but now the doctors are saying that bubs will need to be delivered in the next day or two due to the placenta deteriorating and baby is not getting enough blood and nutrition. She's very small weighing only 700g!

Once she is born she will need to stay in the neonatal ward until shes is medically fit to leave, which could be weeks being she going to be born at 26 weeks old.

Lea and Quinn will now have the hardest road ahead with leaving their little girl and the constant travelling back and forth each week for appointments and visits. Due to this unprecedented situation Lea is now unable to work and with building their first home funds are going to be very tight.
