I'm starting the very terrifying, overwhelming process of creating a plan for myself and my 4-year-old daughter to escape domestic violence. Things have escalated recently, and it's time to go to a shelter.....as soon as possible.

The first step is to get the legal paperwork filed for an order of protection, divorce, and child support/alimony. However, throughout our marriage, he's never given me money or allowed insight into the finances, so I have nothing to pay a lawyer and put this essential step into motion.
