Lawson needs your help!

Hi, my names Shania and I’m fundraising for Lawson and his family..

Lawson was born at just 24+3 weeks at the NWPH on July 21st 2019. A tiny 790 gram baby, he was quickly transported to RHH NPICU. In his first 95 days of life he had 5 major operations.

On day 96 lawson was placed into palliative care, he had developed meningitis and wasn’t responding to treatment. After spending 100 days in NPICU lawson got to go home.. doctors thought he only had a week.

Lawson is now 3, he is unable to support his head and needs 24/7 care for the rest of his life. He has just received a manual wheelchair and are looking into getting him a powered one. Unfortunately the current car just isn’t big enough to transport the wheelchair and is also very heavy which puts them at risk of injury or damage to the chair.

A modified vehicle means his chair can stay assembled and wouldnt get wet/damaged when being assembled. Also when the opportunity comes for a powered chair, they will have transport for Lawson to be able use it out and about in the community.

They are going to be getting a Kia Carnival that will be sent to Melbourne for modifications.

This family would do absolutely anything for anyone and expect nothing in return, so I’m reaching out to ask no matter how big or small if anyone can help this family to raise funds towards a modified car to transport Lawson to appointments and where he needs to go- any assistance no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.
