Lauren's moving her mom home ♥️

Hi! My name is Sarah and I set up this GoFundMe page to help my friend Lauren support her mom moving from the Cleveland area to Columbus. Lauren is one of the most caring individuals I have met. Her mama, Venessa, is currently suffering from COPD and dementia. Lauren, as the wonderful daughter and caring person she is, has started the moving process so she can care for her mom locally in her home here in Columbus.

Moving is stressful. Mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally stressful. On top of that, COPD and dementia are difficult to manage and heartbreaking to experience as a caregiver and as an individual suffering from those diseases. We may not be able to physically be there for Lauren as she drives box by box across the northern part of Ohio before she can comfortably move her mom in with her, but we can at least provide some relief financially and virtual support.

Thank you all so much! This is a very difficult time for anyone to go through with a parent. Lauren is so full of optimistic joy and loves her mom very much. Any bit helps to get Vanessa to her new home in Columbus where Lauren can watch over her and continue their nightly virtual tradition of Lauren reading Harry Potter to Vanessa before bed, but now in person.

From Lauren:

I'm turning the main bedroom into her room and turning it into a mini apartment to reduce her steps by eliminating the need to go into the kitchen (reducing the risk of falling) and enabling independence by providing private space. Her room will be within close walking distance of the bathroom and my room.
