The desire to go to the Middle East stems from my history of working with immigrants and refugees for the last 4 years, and is motivated by the belief that every child and every person holds the inherent right to live a life free from conflict and full of love.

Over the course of three weeks, I will be partnering with a church in Germany, who has been empowering refugees from Syria and Iraq for the last several years. During our time in Jordan, we’ll be working hand in hand with a local church in Amman to facilitate a 3-day leadership workshop for the community. Secondly, we’ll be hosting an enrichment summer camp for children of all ages. Specifically for me, this is where my heart thrives, as I believe every child should have the opportunity to learn in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Lastly, we’ll be spending time sharing life, stories, and learning from Syrian refugees.

There’s a lot of work to do and a lot of good to be done in the Middle East and I believe we all can have a role whether near or far. The cost of this trip is $2,000, which includes a round-trip flight from Germany to Jordan, housing, food, and international health insurance. I am seeking sponsorships from individuals who’d like to participate in building bridges of peace and love in the Middle East with me financially.
