Hello Community of Bellingham,

Laura is a hardworking educator who has put forth great effort in her journey to obtain U.S. citizenship. She has done so while serving our community in multiple roles within schools, and raising her daughter.

Laura has lived in the U.S. since before her 2nd birthday, making this the only community she has ever known. Laura was raised in the U.S., believing that she was a citizen, and once learning as an adult that she was not, began the long process to obtain citizenship. Laura has attempted this process multiple times.

Increasing the difficulty in this process, Laura is currently facing life changing challenges that are adding to the financial difficulty of applying for yet another hearing after facing the denial of her citizenship application.

With Laura's permission, we are asking the community to raise the finances to support her journey. Thank you for your time as we call for the community to support Laura as she has supported our children and schools for nearly all of her adult life.
