Happy Helpers was born from a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and independent in their own home. As baby boomers age and funding for helping programs is cut, more and more elderly and handicapped individuals are struggling to keep up with essential home upkeep. My sister and I have both devoted years to caring for our own family members, and we’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a helping hand can make. Our friends and neighbors are doing the same for their loved ones, but not everyone has someone to turn to.
That’s why we’re launching Happy Helpers, starting in Florida and aiming to grow across America. Every dollar raised will be invested directly into launching and expanding our services as quickly as possible. In Phase 1, we’ll establish Happy Helpers as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, complete legal filings, and build the administrative foundation needed to responsibly serve our community. Phase 2 will focus on purchasing essential supplies and equipment, while Phase 3 will launch our first home visits—covering transportation, care packages, and basic support services like light housekeeping, grocery delivery, wellness checks, yard work, power washing, and other essential home upkeep tasks. As we grow, we’ll recruit and train compassionate volunteers, expand our services, and reach even more people in need.
Many people simply need someone to check in, lend a hand, or remind them they are not alone. Unfortunately, too many go without that support. Your contribution helps transform compassion into action. It helps launch home visits, provide essential supplies, recruit volunteers, and build a nonprofit dedicated to restoring dignity, hope, and human connection.
