Launceston Mayor's charities 2024 - 2025

Hi

I am the current Mayor of Launceston Councillor Helen Bailey and have chosen to support two local Community Interest Companies during my term of office, by abseiling from Meldon Viaduct on Saturday 3rd May 2025 at 10.30am. I am also promoting Connect Launceston in their bid to bring the railway back to our Town.

The two CIC's are Launceston Youth Musical Theatre which encourages and builds confidence through performance in young people up to the age of 18, and Launceston Man Down who are dedicated to supporting men with mental health challenges. This group is saving lives and encouraging men to talk.

These groups are making a difference to lives both young and senior in some cases, in my local community.

Please support me in my epic challenge of descending 151ft down the Viaduct, with some brave friends hopefully!
