I've known Lastman and Maria Jose for over 10 years now. They have dedicated their life to ministry and pouring themselves into the lives of others. As you know, in May 2019 Maria Jose had back surgery, which was successful. We praise God for that. Now Maria Jose is doing well, but a few months ago she started experiencing some back "flare-ups" caused by driving their car to and from work. They have a very small car, it is low to the ground and she feels every vibration and bump, especially from the bumpy roads in Nicaragua.

From the very beginning, the doctor recommended that they change their car to a larger one that sits higher. It would be more comfortable for Maria Jose’s back and help to avoid damaging the prosthetic placed in her spine from her surgery. When she started to experience a lot of back pain again a couple of months ago, they decided to make another doctor's appointment. The doctor once again recommended that they need to change their car to avoid all the impact on her back.

In light of the above, we are asking you to pray about partnering with them in donating to upgrade to a different car. They are needing to raise 20,000 dollars, which will include all of the taxes and paperwork. We deeply appreciate your relationship with them and know that you continue to pray for them.
